What is THE area for nightlife in Tel Aviv? 

In Tel Aviv there is no one area that you can call the nightlife center, the places are pretty much scattered over Tel Aviv and in each region you have a very different vibe and type of places. But if you want to quickly generalize –

Hanamal/Port area –  Several clubs and bars. Not very active during the winter. A lot of young clubbers. Could be very busy during the Israeli holidays or when there is a big party that is located there. The good thing is that this place is full with places to eat so convenient in terms of after food crave.

Dizengoff St. – Throughout Dizengodd st. you have a lot, and we mean a lot of bars and pubs. The majority of them have happy hours between 18:00 and 21:00 and some offer 1+1 throughout the entire night on Sunday’s (Which a working day in Israel and therefore a slow day). It’s a very good selection if you are planning to do bar hopping. The crowd differs but in order to meet some interesting local crowd Thursday’s would be the best choice.

Rabin Square – Around Rabin square you will find several very nice bars and pubs which are occupied by locals from the neighborhood surrounding the square. Hipsters, Laid back Tel Avivians you have them all right here. Ages vary but probably around 25-35.

Rothschild Blvd. – during the day Rothchild Blvd is swarming with high-tech and finance professionals that are working in the offices around the Blvd. but during the evenings the different bars and clubs are opening up and offer a very cool experience. Great for those who wants to mingle with the tech industry of Tel Aviv.

 

How much a night out cost in Tel Aviv? 

Be prepared – Tel Aviv is definitely not the cheapest place for a night out. Due to taxation, the prices of alcohol are pretty high with an average price of 8 USD for a glass of beer or 12 USD for a glass of whiskey. The prices vary between the places is would be worthwhile and smart to check out the prices before seating or to arrive during the “Happy Hours” (Normally 18:00-21:00) in order to enjoy significant discounts for alcohol and food.

Generally – every single day. The more accurate answer depends on the season and weather. Israelis do not cope well with cold and rain (as they are not very used to it 🙂 ). During the days of the summer, all places are packed with locals and tourists during day AND night. The best days in Tel Aviv are between Monday and Thursday, on weekends the locals are focusing or small bars and different locations in South of Tel Aviv and Israelis from outside of Tel-Aviv are taking over. Especially Dizingoff and Rothschild Blvd. is packed with people from outside of the city that are coming for drinks.

Best hours to party in Tel Aviv? The typical Tel Avivian is getting his beer at around 18:00-19:00 and keeps it up until 23:00-00:00 during the week days. Thursday is a totally differeny story with parties until early morning.
